Worcestershire County Council (WCC) is facing real challenges with smaller budgets and increasing pressure on services from vulnerable communities. The County Council is however committed to tackling inequality and improving quality of life for all residents and works actively with Voluntary and Community Sector organisations like Vestia to achieve this. Vestia is pleased to work with WCC on the Worcestershire Stronger Families program, where they are principle funder. WCC Adult Libraries and Learning are supporting our growing employability work as a co-funder through the Skills Funding Agency.

Working with Wyre Forest District Council and the local Councillors is important for Vestia as they provide a strategic overview of the area and the Councillors have a wealth of local knowledge that ensures we avoid duplication on community projects. Working together we can have a positive impact on neighbourhoods, offering a platform to residents to express their views, as well as the Local Authority communicating their plans for the area.

Vestia is pleased to be working with the District Council and to have their practical and financial support to develop and grow the work around 'employability'.
